
Nick Horvath
With over 20 years of coaching experience, Coach Horvath brings a deep passion for player development and leadership both on and off the court. His coaching journey began at the North Penn YMCA, where he laid the foundation for his commitment to youth development through basketball.
Coach Horvath has held coaching roles across multiple levels of the game, including AAU programs such as East Coast Power and PA Hoops Academy, where he has helped mold student-athletes into confident competitors and strong leaders.

At the collegiate level, Horvath has served as an assistant coach at Bryn Mawr College, Gwynedd Mercy University, and currently at Eastern University. During his time at Gwynedd Mercy, he helped lead the team to a 2019 Atlantic East Conference Championship and an NCAA Tournament second-round appearance, followed by an ECAC title in 2020. At Eastern University, he contributed to back-to-back MAC playoff appearances in 2023 and 2024, culminating in a MAC Championship in 2024.

His coaching strengths include film analysis, recruiting, and player development, with a specialized focus on shooting and defensive skills. His experience also extends beyond the U.S., having coached in St. Thomas, USVI, and at the 2009 Goodwill Games in Austria alongside Hall of Fame coach and Villanova legend Rollie Massimino.

Off the court, Coach Horvath is a dedicated educator with over two decades of experience teaching high school social studies. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education from Temple University and a Master’s in Multicultural Education from Eastern University, where he also earned a certification in Special Education.

He resides in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania with his wife Kim, son Jaidon, and daughter Ayrianna.
