PA HOOPS Fall Tryouts

If you are registered for tryouts you should have received the email below. If you did not receive this email, you are not registered or your email bounced back. Please contact us at aau@pahoopsacademy.com.

If you have not done so, please be sure to submit the $25 tryout fee via venmo to @PAHoops.

Here are some details regarding the upcoming tryouts:

• The tryouts are 2-days. It is recommended but not mandatory to attend both dates. If you cannot make both sessions, please reply to this email so we can make a note.

• All tryouts will be held at The Westtown School. Follow signs for CDC (Coach Downey Court) upon arrival. Tryouts will be held in the upstairs gym. When you arrive, please check-in at the table. Every player will receive a jersey to be worn during the session. The jersey must be returned at the end of the session each day.

• We kindly ask that parents do not enter the gym during tryouts.

What happens next?

• Offer emails will be sent between August 26 - 28 in no particular order. The email will contain a TeamSnap registration link as well as a link to order your uniform. If you played with PA Hoops in the Spring, the uniform is the same. You are not required to order a new one but can do so if you would like.

• Acceptance/declines need to be received by August 30th to secure your spot on the team.

• Practices will begin Tuesday, September 3. The tentative practice schedule is below. Please note: this schedule is subject to change based upon the outcome of tryouts.

  • 6th, 7th, 8th grades: Tues/Thurs 6:00-7:30pm @ Westtown School

  • 5th grade: Tues/Thurs 6:45-8:00pm @ Devon Prep

  • 4th grade: Tues/Thurs 5:30-6:45pm @ Devon Prep

  • 3rd grade: TBD​

Tournament Dates: Please note: these dates are subject to change, but for planning purposes we want to provide you with an idea of what the season looks like. For those new to AAU, tournaments are typically Saturday & Sunday with 3 games guaranteed. Teams may advance further in the tournament and conclude with a championship game Sunday late afternoon/early evening

• October 12-13 (West Chester, PA area)

• October 19-20 (Lancaster, PA)

• October 26-27 (West Chester, PA area)

• November 2-3 (Manalapin, NJ)
